Grammar police
Seen on a web site:
"Job Description
Shift: First
Wage: $28,000 / year or commiserate with experience. "
Read in a book:
"trying to ween herself off cigarettes...."
Read in a book, referring to a quote earlier in the text:
" as eluded to in the above passage by Smith and Jones...."
Those are some vocabulary errors!

I needed that

After 100.7 inches of snow this winter, I really needed to go out in the yard last weekend and see my crocuses. I can't imagine how they got planted so close together....

I needed to see the white crocuses, which I did not even plant, but which are relics from previous gardeners, who also planted the irises, peonies, and jack-in-the-pulpits. Thank you!
And I needed to see the snowdrops, which were actually blooming March 19, while there was still snow on the ground. Thank you snowdrops! These may be my favorite bulbs, because they are unassuming, and because they are first!
